2008 - 2009 Comprehensive Fee Consultation Process

Friday, March 21
  • Letter to student governments and campus publications on fee proposal distributed.
  • 2007 - 2008 annual reports on current fees posted on website www.ub-judiciary.buffalo.edu/components.shtml.
  • The MyOpinion survey collection process begins, March 21 - April 6.
Monday, March 24
  • Consultation period opens through Friday, April 4.
  • MyUB announces opening of the process as a "Need to Know" for all students.
  • Listserv and email address provided for feedback throughout the process.
  • Spectrum ads advertising website and consultation begin running.
Thursday, March 27
  • Meeting with student leadership and discussion of 2007 - 2008 annual reports and 2008 - 2009 fee proposal with area representatives.
Friday, April 4
  • Close of student input process to allow for compilation and posting of student feedback.
Friday, April 11
  • Summary report of student input posted on the website and distributed to listserv subscribers.
  • Submission of final reports to UB/SUNY.

During the consultation process:
  • Advertisements were run in the Spectrum on 3/26, 3/28, 3/31 and 4/4
  • MyUB ran a "Need to Know" alert from 3/24 - 3/30 alerting students that the consultation process was underway, along with a link to the Fee website
  • There were approximately 85 "hits" on the Fee website
  • MyOpinion Comprehensive Fee survey had 445 student participants, results: PDF (78KB) | Word (189KB)
  • 2 questions were posted to the listserv re: bundling fees and NFTA metro passes, and four students enrolled
  • 1 phone call was received
  • 5 emails were sent to the site
  • No written letters were received
