Alcohol Review Board
Mission
- To propose the policy regarding the distribution and consumption of alcoholic beverage at University at Buffalo (UB) facilities and programs.
- To inform faculty, staff, students, campus organizations, visitors, retail establishments, and other businesses in policy matters relative to the distribution, consumption, and advertising pertaining to alcohol at UB facilities and programs.
- To authorize and monitor the service of alcohol on premises at the University at Buffalo.
- To conduct post-event reviews of major events where alcohol is served.
- To encourage alternatives to activities and promotions and events which promote the consumption of alcoholic beverages, including review of advertisements which appear on campus promoting sale or consumption of alcohol.
- To encourage the availability of educational experiences which address the issues concerning alcohol consumption and alcohol abuse, such as alcohol awareness programs.
- To review and recommend text revisions to the Student Rules and Regulations, federal Drug Free Schools and Community Compliance Statement, student guidebooks, and other published materials related to campus alcohol use and abuse.
